School Uniform
School uniform is compulsory for all children at Welford Primary School. We believe that it can help provide a sense of belonging and identity, promote our ethos as we are seen to be ‘together as one’ and set an appropriate tone for education.
Our uniform:
Children, regardless of gender, are free to choose the uniform items they prefer to wear from the standard and optional lists below. Items with the Welford logo on the front,
if you so wish, can be ordered from our supplier who is Gogna Schoolwear, Rookery Rd. Their website is: www.gognaschoolwear.co.uk or they can be contacted by telephone on: 0121 523 5572.
As parents/carers should not have to think about the cost of a school uniform when choosing which school to apply for, we have considered the price of purchasing our required uniform carefully when drawing up this policy. Therefore, we hope that the uniform we require to be worn at Welford is both affordable and easily obtainable for our parental/carer community.
Nevertheless, if you need additional help with regard to obtaining cheaper, pre-loved uniform, please contact the pastoral team or school office who will be very happy to help.
Physical Education (PE) Kit:
PE clothing or ‘kit’ must be worn during every PE lesson for reasons of personal hygiene. The “kit” should be worn on the days when children have PE. Children should come to school in their PE clothing and will wear it for the whole day. That is why it should be comfortable, smart and of a uniform colour.
