Headteacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to EVERYONE from Welford Primary School.

I feel very privileged and proud to be the Head Teacher of the school that I have loved being a part of for the last 38 years.

To me, Welford Primary School has always been a family; a special place where staff, our families and the wider community work together to ensure children are at the heart of all we do. Here, we seek to create an open, approachable and harmonious school community where everyone has a voice that is listened to and one that can positively influence change.

I believe that by promoting such positive partnerships and continuing to develop an ambitious, inclusive curriculum we try and ensure that all children in the school, regardless of their starting points, are given the opportunities they need to be successful, make good progress, and be the best they can possibly be in all aspects of school life…

At Welford we have developed a culture where all children are taught to be respectful, ready to learn and responsible; a culture where we celebrate the rich diversity of our multi-heritage, multi-faith school; a culture that aims to ensure children feel cared for, safe, included and happy as they develop their skills and abilities throughout each stage of their primary journey.

I hope our website provides a taste of this culture and life in our Welford World, while helping to illustrate the vision and values we work together to deliver.
